Triggers

Triggers allow your AI agent to automatically take action when specific conditions are met in a chat. Triggers activate based on what the client writes. Use them to update a lead stage, create a task, send a webhook, share a file, and more.

Create a Trigger

  1. Open your AI Agent and go to the Triggers section.
  2. Click “Create”.
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Name: A short, clear title (e.g., Payment Request).
    • Active: Enable to start using this trigger.
    • Condition: Describe when this trigger should run (e.g., If a client asks to pay).
    • Actions: Add one or more actions.
    • Response Message (optional): A short message used to create a reply for the client.
    • Launch Limit per Chat: How many times this trigger can run in the same chat (0 = unlimited).
  4. Click “Save”.

Configure the Condition

Triggers activate based on what the client writes. You can also check lead stage, field values, and any other lead or contact data you gave the agent access to.

  • Describe a clear situation that should activate the trigger.
  • Examples:
    • If the client asks to pay
    • If the client doesn’t want to continue the conversation
    • If the client requests a discount
    • If the lead stage is “Negotiation” and the client asks about pricing

Add Actions

Add one or more actions.

  • Change Lead Stage
  • Stop agents in this chat
  • Create Task
  • Launch Salesbot
  • Add Lead Tags / Add Contact Tags
  • Add Lead Note / Add Contact Note
  • Change Responsible: Reassign the lead/contact responsible user.
  • Send Files: Share files with the client like images, audio, documents, PDFs, or videos
  • Send Webhook: Call an external URL (choose method, headers, and body). URL content could be used to generate a response for the client.

Response Message (optional)

Add a short message (e.g., I’ve processed your request and created a task for our finance team.). It will be used to generate a reply for the client.

Launch Limit per Chat

Set how many times this trigger can run in the same chat (in the same lead). Use 0 for unlimited.
